Michigan State vs Penn State
This weekend, on Saturday, I drove to East Lansing in Michigan with my Mom to see the Michigan State and Penn State football game. There was an amazing buildup to the game: Penn State was coming off of a hard loss to OSU, and MSU was coming off of a close loss to Northwestern in overtime. All of this, led to an insane atmosphere that could be felt from the fans. Even though the weather was pretty bad (more on that later), the stadium was really full and there were fans tailgating all over campus.
I also, had a really cool meeting with an old professor from my freshman year. In the music appreciation class I took, we learned about African drums and dance with Dr. Ben Ayettey from Ghana, and I ran into him on Michigan State's campus after two years (what are the odds!?). We chatted a bit about what he had been doing since he left ONU, and we went our separate ways. It was a really interesting experience seeing him after a couple years, completely out of the blue.
Anyway, on to the game. The game started off amazing! Penn State scored a touchdown, and Michigan State scored one immediately after. After a couple of drives, Penn State scored another touchdown to make the score 14 to 7. But then, the game was delayed because of extreme weather, so the entire stadium was evacuated. The game was then delayed until 4 pm, so there was a lot of waiting involved, which eventually led to my Mom and I leaving early since I had to get back on campus. MSU won the game 27 to 24 in the end, I just wish I could've seen the rest of it instead of hearing about it while driving back to ONU, because I love watching football, and it's the sport I played and grew up loving. It is by far my favorite sport to watch, and I'm excited to see how the MSU vs OSU game goes next week (I'm rooting for OSU personally, because they were the team I grew up with).
Are you guys excited for the MSU vs OSU game, and who do you want to win?

OSU! If somehow Ohio State can win the Big 10 we may have another solid NCAA run.
ReplyDeleteI love OSU and can’t wait to see the outcome against MSU. OSU has always been a second half team, we just have to actually finish the game like we did with Penn State...or maybe just pick it up in the first half!
