Spooky Day
I'm so excited for Tuesday! Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year without a doubt. I affectionately call it spooky day, because of the excitement and what I do during the buildup. The entire month of October is an exciting buildup to it. I'm awful with scary movies, but no matter what, I'll watch a scary movie at least once every couple of days to get myself into the spirit. I play all the scary video games I can just trying to freak myself out. Spooky day is by far my most anticipated day of the year.
Up until the last about six years, I wasn't super into Halloween, but when I started getting into the spirit, it became my favorite. When the leaves start changing colors and fall weather starts to hit, that's when the excitement hits me for the first time. From that point on, Halloween will never leave my head.
This year, there was one movie I watched, and one video game I played that I thought were fantastic. The movie is called "The Legend of Hell House." It's about a house that is haunted by the ghost of an insane, murderous millionaire named Emeric Belasco. The best way to describe it is spooky, because it's not really scary, but it has fantastic atmosphere and gets you in the mood for the holiday. I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a spooky movie to watch, and it's on Netflix, so go for it. The video game was "Oxenfree." It's a short, but creepy indie game on PC that follows a group of high schoolers who travel to an island late at night to hangout. Also, it's $5 on Steam right now, so I'm recommending picking that up, because it is totally worth it to sit down and beat it in one night for the spooks. I make it a habit to do a play-through of it every Halloween since it came out.
So, get excited for Tuesday, and be ready to get spooked, because the best holiday of the year is coming up and there's some fun things you can do before it gets here.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite game to play on Halloween is layers of fear. I wish i could play the new Friday the 13th game too.
ReplyDeleteHalloween is so much fun! Especially since it gives me an excuse to scare the daylights out of people with no consequences.
